Unfortunately, there is bad news for the fans of this comedy series, as Netflix has officially cancelled the production of this RuPaul led comedy series. Season 1 of “Aj and The Queen” concluded with ten epic episodes. And all these episodes received favourable positive reviews after it debuted on January 10, 2020.
The tale revolves around Red Ruby- Robert Lee, whose boyfriend dashes off with all his life savings leaving him abandoned. With the money gone, Ruby’s plans of opening a drag club also gone.
To start afresh life, Robert agrees to take a cross country drag tour, unaware of AJ’s presence in the back of his RV. Over the ten episodes, Robert and AJ bond cultivate a beautiful father and daughter bond as they faced lots of obstacles jointly.
Release Date
For now, the show has been cancelled, which means there would be no second season. Although the series persuaded a lot of fans and positive reviews, it had a very low critic rate from the audience. Therefore, we can only hope Netflix decides to have a change of heart, and the show gets modernized by another company.

Possible Plotline of Season 2
There would be no plot for season 2 since this show has been officially cancelled. But, if for some reason the series gets back to screen it may be focused on Aj. AJ may mediate as it was pretty apparent in season 1 the dispute between the mother and child pair. From his past disappointments, Robert Lee should be able to move on and would find a new dream and mission in life. In the second season, we will see that the bond between Robert and AJ greatly improves.
