Top Gun Maverick

An American action movie Top Gun: Maverick is based on a story by Joseph Kosinski about Peter Craig and Justin Marks, written by Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer and Christopher Macquarrie. This is a sequel to Top Gun from 1986. The film features Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glenn Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris and Val Kilmer. Cruise and Kilmer played roles in the first films.

On July 2nd, 2021 Top Gun: Maverick will be released in the US by Paramount Pictures. The release was originally scheduled for July 12, 2019 but was delayed “to allow production to develop all complex flight sequences. After that, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 epidemic and schedule.


Cruise returns as Senior and wise Lieutenant Pete Maverick Mitchell, who will take care of the next generation fighter pilot in the film. Release Date

Top Gun: Maverick was originally slated to release on Paramount Pictures on July 12, 2019. As of August 2018, it has been pushed back to June 26, 2020. On March 2, 2020, Paramount postponed the film two days until June 24, 2020. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the film has been rescheduled from December 2 to December 23, 2020. As of July 2020, the screening of the film has been delayed until July 2, 2021 due to an increase in COVID-19 cases following the conflict with Cruise and the recent delay of Mulan and Tenet.
