Synopsis:

The series focuses on Asta, a young orphan who grew up from birth after being abandoned at the door of an orphanage in Hage village, along with the orphaned Juno. Asta and Juno were left at the same church on the same day. Raised together as children, they learn about the “Wizard King” – the title bestowed upon the strongest mage in the kingdom – and promise to fight each other for the position of the next mage king. However, as they grew up, the clear differences between them became clear. While Juno can master magic with tremendous power and control, Asta cannot use magic at all and is desperately trying to awaken his powers through physical training.
When they turn 15, Juno is given a spectacular four-leaf clover spell book, while Asta receives nothing. However, soon after, Juno was attacked by a man named Lebuti, whose main goal was to get Juno’s spell book. Asta tries to fight Lebuti, but he is defeated. Despite being desperate and on the verge of defeat, she found the strength to move on when she heard Juno’s voice. Asta releases his inner feelings of anger and accepts a five-leaf clover grimoire, a “black clover” which gives him enough strength to defeat Lebuti. A few days later, the two friends set out for the world and both of them pursue the same goal – to become a magician king.
