Altered Carbon Season 2

Netflix recently announced the date of release for Altered Carbon Season 2. The sci-fi series will be coming out on 27th February 2021, without any dilly-dallying with all the eight episodes of the season released at once. The series also released the first trailer for the upcoming season, keeping the fans engaged and the plot revived.

Season 2 will be accommodated by a lot of new casts, where Takeshi Kovacs as the Avengers star Anthony Mackie has officially replaced Joel Kinnaman for the role.

The other new cast included:

  • Simone Missick as Trepp, who is an expert bounty hunter.
  • James Saito as Tanaseda Hideki who is an old Yakuza boss;
  • Lela Loren as Danica Harlan who is the governor of the planet Harlan’s World
  • Dina Shihabi as Dig 301 who is a job-less A.I. programmed to aid in archeology;
  • Torben Liebrecht as Colonel Carrera, a Protectorate Special Forces unit leader.
  • Chris Conner will return as Poe, where in season 1, he had an A.I. role.

Altered Carbon Season 2 Plot

According to Netflix’s show description, the plot of Altered Carbon‘s upcoming season will be focusing on Takeshi Kovacs, who is trying to reunite with his longtime love, Quellcrist Falconer.

The Netflix description regarding the framing of the plot reads:

“Season 2 of the sophisticated and compelling sci-fi drama finds Takeshi Kovacs (Anthony Mackie), the lone surviving soldier of a group of elite interstellar warriors, continuing his centuries-old quest to find his lost love Quellcrist Falconer (Renée Elise Goldsberry). After decades of planet-hopping and searching the galaxy, Kovacs finds himself recruited back to his home planet of Harlan’s World with the promise of finding Quell.
