Altered Carbon Season 3

Richard K. Morgan has written a cyberpunk novel called “Altered Carbon” in 2002. Laeta Kalogridis has created a show with the same name based on that novel. The series has 2 seasons till now. The first season aired on Netflix on 2nd February 2018. it had 10 episodes in total. The second season, comprising of eight episodes, was aired on 27th July 2019. The series has received positive reviews till now. Season 1 explored the cyberpunk roots and even though sometimes it was overwhelming, it was never boring. The critics loved the complex plot as well as the good performances. Though some weren’t a fan of the dialogue, beautiful visuals and brilliant themes made up for it.

What is the story?

The maximum number of episodes in the first season is set in the year 2384. In this futuristic world, the memories of a person are stored into a device called the cortical stack. This storage disk in then implanted in the neck of the person. The only way a person can cease to exist is if his stack is destroyed. But only the wealthiest section of the society, also known as the Meths, can afford to live forever by storing their consciousness in distant satellites.
Envoys were a group who rebelled against the world order but they were defeated. The show is centered around Takeshi Kovacs, a soldier of the Envoys, who got a new shot at life. He also has to solve a murder and search for his girlfriend.

What about Season 3?

There are no official reports of renewal yet. But fans should not lose hope, because the show’s renewal may happen soon. The show is too popular to be canceled this quick.
