The anthropology series Anatomy of a scandal had been shown green light for its release over Netflix. The series creator was HBO’s Big Little lied David E. Kelly and former house of Cards showrunner Melissa James Gibson.
The series ‘Anatomy of a Scandal’ first season will be based on the 2017 novel with the same name by Sarah Vaughan. The series is set to explore a different large scale public scandal.
Via Netflix, it was first announced about the series back which will be in May 2020. 3dot production will produce the series who is also currently working on a U.S Women’s Soccer Documentary. Netflix has also ventured many other anthology series which include Black Mirror and The Haunting of Hill House.
Plot of Anatomy of a Scandal??
The series Anatomy of a Scandal revolves around two women and one man who caught up in a very ugly public scandal. A high ranking Westminster politician James was accused of rape, but his wife Sophie believes that he is innocent. The case is being prosecuted by a barrister named Kate and Sophie was convinced that he is guilty and must pay for the crime. In the court, not everything was crystal clear which complicates things for everyone. Marriage is being also tackled in the plot to an extreme level.
The main casts of the series Anatomy of a Scandal include Michelle Dockery, Sienne Miller, and Rupert friend. Friend will play the role of Sophie husband and Miller will play the role of Sophie, a graduate mother of two children. While Kate’s role will be played by Dockery.
When will the production of the series begin??
Currently, the production of the series is planned to begin from November 2020 and will continue for 20 weeks and last around April 2021.
