What is Fear the Walking Dead?
On August 23, 2015, the show premiered on AMC. It is a companion series to The Walking Dead, based on Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard’s comic book series of the same name.
All that we know!
For season 6, the Walking Dead will return to AMC (also known as the Walking Dead channel) but will not be available on Netflix as the series was sold in the USA and internationally as well as in previous years. The prequel to the hit AMC shows The Walking Dead was first released in 2015 and saw the show grow in popularity, arguing that the show is better today than the main one in the 11th season (which has not been released yet at Netflix with 10th season).
Fear the Walking Dead seeks to tie-up the in-between introduction of some of the characters seen in the main series rather than set several years after the initial outbreak and flesh out their backstories. Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Mercedes Mason are among the series’ top talents.
Here’s why Netflix doesn’t have seasons 1-6.
AMC has opted to keep Netflix away from some of its new shows, including Fear of the Walking Dead. The Walking Dead is on Netflix in the US, as you may already recognize, but every successive show, including this and the coming World Beyond, is sold separately.
Netflix DVD is available as a DVD boxset for the first few seasons, but you will need a separate subscription to gain access outside of your normal Netflix streaming.
Where else can you stream the show?
As with previous versions of this article, Fear The Walking Dead is not currently held in any other Netflix region and that continues to be the case in season 6. For instance, the United Kingdom will have to depend on the NowTV streaming platform to broadcast the show. We’ll recommend using a service like JustWatch to find it in order to find where it’s broadcasting in your province.
