Arthdal Chronicles is a Korean fantasy romantic sitcom. Its first episode was released on June 1, 2019. Since then, new episodes were released every Saturday and Sundays on tvN. Kim Won-Seok is the director of the series. Internationally, it is premiered on Netflix. The show is widely criticized by the Game of Thrones fans, for having too much similarity between the two series. Although, Arthdal Chronicles give away when it comes to the advanced CGI used by the Game of Thrones. The series is renewed for the second season officially.
Arthdal Chronicles, Season 2 Plot
Arthdal Chronicles’ first season is divided into three parts, each consisting of 6 episodes. The story is set around a mysterious land called Arth. Eun-Sum is an Arth who was born under that fate that he would bring destruction in Arth. Due to which his mother hides him and he grows in hardships, but soon reappears in Arth.
Tan-Ya was also born with the same fate as of Eun-Sum and faces hardships while growing too. But she belongs to Wahan Tribe and also the successor. She aspires to become a politician as she realises her mission while going through the hardships.
Ta-Gon is a war hero of Arth. He has worked very hard to make Arth the best city, the nation has ever witnessed. He is the most powerful and most ambitious man of Arth. Due to his ambition to make Arth the best, he aspires to become the king of Arth. Arth has become technologically very advanced hence they feel no difficulty in bringing its neighbours under its reign. But the problem is there is no scope of liberty and people should work under strict rules. This Korean drama is full of fantasy, romance and action.
Arthdal Chronicles, Season 2
Though official announcements have been made for the second season of Arthdal Chronicles, no date has been announced for now. Looking at the pandemic crisis, we can expect the season to roll out in mid-2021.
