The series features a chemist, a cosmonaut, a medical officer, and finally a botanist. The botanist in question has no experience in space. They are all under the command of an astronaut named Emma Green.
Initially, Emma’s husband, who is also an astronaut, was supposed to command the Mars mission. But he fell ill and Emma took his place. As a result, several crew members are doubtful of Emma’s expertise and do not trust her with crisis situations.
