Azur Lane Season 2
Two Chinese developers named Shanghai Manjuu and Xiamen Yongshi created the video game called Azur Lane. The game was released back in 2017 for devices of Ios and Android operating systems. This game inspired an anime television series as well. Bibury Animation Studios have produced this series. The show can be categorized into the “action” genre.
Tenho is the director of the series and it is written by Jin Haganeya. The music for the series is the work of Yasunori Nishiki. This anime was first announced back in 2018. Azur Lane made its debut on 3rd October 2019 and the first season had 12 episodes. Tensho is a great director who has been a part of works like Grisaia and Rewrite’s adaptations of anime. With such a talented cast, the anime was guaranteed to be a hit. At first, the name of the anime was decided to be “Azuru Ren”. The anime was broadcast on many networks like Tokyo MX, SUN, KBS, and AT-X. The last few episodes of season 1 were delayed. They were supposed to come out in 2019 but the eleventh and the twelfth episodes came out in the month of March in 2020. The delay was entirely because of production problems.
What is the story about?
The tale of “Azure Lane” tells us the story of dominance over the oceans. Initially, people were fascinated with control over the waters and this led to a war where everyone tried to have control over the waters. But, a new enemy soon presented itself and proved to be a threat to humanity. They were called the Sirens. Sirens had the aid of the latest technology an with that power they could easily conquer the oceans. But four major nations decide to unite and fight the dominant power for supremacy. So the Eagle Union, The Royal Navy, Sakura Empire, and Iron Blood formed the “Azur Lane”.
What about season 2? Even though the last few episodes were aired just this year, fans are already ready for the next installment. According to some sources, the work on season 2 has already started. The second season will be released next year.
