The natives of Wobik get marked as outcasts. They work hard through the brutality, fighting through the conversion to preserve their identity. This tension turns into a war between the natives of the Wobik province and the French immigrants. People of Wobik suffer from the split in the loyalties. Some get on the side of the French, others, stay true to their origin.
