Blood and Water is a South African series that premiered on the streaming site Netflix on May 20, 2020. The Netflix show has recently attracted a lot of attention and fans are looking forward to its second season.

In June 2020, Netflix officially announced the show’s update for the second season, and the main photos for the upcoming season were released on October 13, 2020, in Cape Town, SA. The show received very positive reactions and reviews from viewers and critics alike. Season 1 contains 6 episodes and the series is directed by Travis Taute, Byrne Joshua, and Nosifo Dumisa. The main story of the series revolves around Puleng, a high school girl, and her sister Fumelele, who is kidnapped by a human trafficking network after she is born. The story unfolds with the presentation of Fikile Belle, a popular athlete from Parkhurst College. One day Puleng is invited to Fikile’s party, and later he begins to suspect that Fikile is Fumelele. This series tells the story of how Puleng begins to investigate his younger sister’s missing secret and other secrets guarded by his friends and family.

Is It Based On True Story?

Although the series is not officially based on a true story, it bears an uncanny resemblance to the story of a real Cape Town man who became separated from his twin since birth.

Filming Of The Series:

Blood and Water is just the second African show ordered by Netflix and takes place at the fictional Parkhurst School of Cape Town.

Blood and Water Season 2: Expected Plotline:

As the season ends in high spirits and Fikile and Puleng know the reality behind their relationship, there are still many unanswered free ends and these questions could be the main premise for the upcoming season in the relationship between Puleng and Chad, whether Mark and Zama agree to have a three-way relationship with Chris, etc.

Cast and Characters:

The whole squad is back in the coming season. Amamkele Kamata will play the role of Puleng Humalo. Also in this series are Khosi Ngema (Fikile Bhele), Gail Mabalane (Thandeka Khumalo), Thabang Molaba, Dillon Windvogel (Wade Daniels), Arno Greeff (Chris Ackerman), and Ryle De Morny (Chad Morgan) to see.

Trailer And Release Date:

Unfortunately, there has been no official announcement regarding the release date for Season 2. Additionally, no trailer has been missed, but it would be too early as filming was delayed due to the pandemic. The trailer will be released nearing the release date.
