After another exciting Netflix anime, subscribers are already asking if we could expect a second season of Zeus Blood on Netflix. Zeus’ Blood is a Charley and Vlas Parlapanides series of Netflix Original Animes. Also behind other successful originals such as Castilliania and Seis Manos is the production studio behind the anime, Powerhouse Animation Studios.
What’s the renewal status of season 2?
Only a little less than a week was Blood of Zeus available for streaming on Netflix. However, Netflix has already had a huge impact on Greek Mythological Anime. Netflix can take extra time to announce an original renewal and in particular anime. So, for at least weeks, and possibly for several months, we don’t expect to learn the future of Zeus Blood. Fortunately, many early signs indicate that we could see the renewal sooner than later.
Blood of Zeus Season 2: Plot
We were left with plenty to consider in season two after a fantastic climactic finale to Blood of Zeus. Before Hades do Seraphim kneel? Hades allowed Seraphim to serve him to avoid his appalling destiny of living in the underworld, but Seraphim is required to kneel. It is only trouble for Heron and the other Olympian gods’ Hades in a dangerous and ambitious god and Seraphim as his cow.
God of Olympus
Zeus sacrificed himself to save Hera from the wrath of the giant in the climate battle between the gods and the giants. Now, the gods of Olympus have gone with Zeus and have no ruler. Heron used the same powers as Zeus in his struggle with Seraphim to defeat his brother. We could see other gods turning to Heron to be their new leader with his ascension on Mount Olympus and with Zeus as his commander.
Hera’s fate
The goddess Hera has not been visible since the dust settled in the battle between Gods and Giants. The decision of Zeus to sacrifice herself for Héra may convince her to return to Mount Olympus, but we can not expect to see many if any of the gods openly welcome her.
Hera also showed how jealous she can be and, as long as she can pardon Zeus for his actions, her son, the bastard, can fight to see Heron rise on Mount Olympus. Thus, Hera might still cause Heron a lot of trouble while she is not the major antagonist of the second season.
Blood of Zeus season 2: Release
It takes a long time for animation projects to produce, and Zeus Blood is no exception. The announcement of the series in March 2019 was first heard and it took another 17 months to watch anime coming on Netflix. The time for the second season is unclear as we do not know whether it will feature the same number of episodes.
