Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead have created the medical drama series called Chicago Med. It is an American show and it is also the third part of the Chicago franchise. Derek Hans, Micheal Brandt, and Dick Wolf were the creators of the Chicago franchise which is basically a media franchise focusing on the several public services of Chicago.  This show is focused on the doctors and nurses of the imaginary hospital of Chicago, Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. There are five seasons for now with a total of 103 episodes. Each episode has a running time of 42 minutes.

What is the show about?

The show, as you might have guessed already, is set in the pace of Chicago and it follows the happenings of the emergency department of a hospital. The show tells the stories od the doctors and nurses who do everything they can to save the lives of their patients. The show also includes the characters of Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D sometimes.

What about the new season?

If the coronavirus didn’t wreak havoc in our lives the sixth season of ChicagoMed would have been released by now. It is definitely not the only television program that is affected by the virus, many entertainment programs have had to change their original schedules. The situation is a bit better now so the production work for the series has already started but it is no secret that they are delayed in their original plans by a long period of time. The series is not coming back to our screens with a new season in the month of September but it will be back a few months later on. The sixth season of Chicago Med will be released on 11th November on NBC. It will be broadcast on the same time slot that was followed the previous year.

There will not be any major changes in the cast members but rumors say that there might be a new addition in the show. Maybe the cast will include a new couple when it airs. It is also not known whether Chicago Med will address the problems on Covid-19 on their show.
