Christmas was close and thanks to Dash & Lily’s hard work, she finally felt it. After the surprising romantic whirlwind of Season 1, subscribers are wondering if they can expect more from Netflix’s Dash & Lily. The streaming service has yet to decide on the future of Dash & Lily. But we strongly believe that Dash & Lily will be back in season two.
Dash Lily is an original romantic teen drama series on Netflix created by Joe Tracz. And founded on the fiction Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn. The series is produced under the product label 21 Laps Entertainment. The same company as Stranger Things and the upcoming series Shadow and Bone.
What can you expect in Dash & Lily Season 2?
Thanks to the second book, Lily & Dash’s Twelve Days, we have a rough idea of what to expect in Season 2.
The story begins twelve months after it ends, and Dash and Lily are still together. It’s holiday season again, but Lily is amazed by her grandfather’s deteriorating health after a heart attack. Failing to experience the Christmas spirit, Dash and Lily’s brother Langston go to work to help her get excited about Christmas. So, if season two followed the book, we found out Lily didn’t move overseas with her parents. And shared an affair with Dash last year. One of the biggest twists we can hope for in season two is the developing relationship between best friend Dash Boomer and his ex-girlfriend Sofia.

Dash & Lily Season 2 Netflix Release Date
It’s hard to speculate when we can expect Netflix’s Dash & Lily season 2. As the series hasn’t been updated at the time of writing. We can look to the future of the series if we consider the filming schedule for the first season. The first season was filmed from 11 October 2019 to 14 December 2019. It was then released eleven months after filming ended. If the second season comes out in 2021, actual filming will have to start. With us still waiting to hear about the future of the series, filming is unlikely to start any time soon. Since season two is set for Christmas, Netflix doesn’t want to release a second season outside of the holidays. That is, the 2022 release date makes the most sense. This can ease the threat of COVID-19 and leave plenty of production time to prepare for the fall photo schedule.
