Dead to Me is an American dark comedy web series. Liz Feldman is the producer of the series. Dead to Me premiered on May 3, 2019, on Netflix. The first season received positive reviews on the release. Looking at the success of the first season, the creators decided to release the second season.
The second season of the series released on May 8, 2020. The series is also the recipient of nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series at 71st Primetime Emmy Awards.
Plot:

The story is about two females who are trying to overcome tragedies in their lives. Jen and Judy are the lead of the series. They both meet during a therapy session. Jen comes to the session to mourn over her dead husband, who was killed by a hit-and-run driver. Judy, on the other hand, attends the session to mourn over her dead fiance, who dies of a heart attack.
This unusually common tragedy creates a bond between the two lead characters. Both of the characters interpret their losses differently. Jen is dark and pessimistic about the outlook whereas Judy is positive and optimistic. They both hide a dark secret from each other. Jen is the hit-and-run driver who accidentally killed her husband. Judy’s fiance isn’t dead. She lost him over a breakup and not due to a heart attack. The show is all about dark twists and turns but in a comic way.
Dead to Me Season 3 Update:
Following the ending of the second season, it is very well evident that there will be a third season. But, when? Nobody knows as of now. There has been no official announcement of the release of the third season to date. But, by looking at the patterns of the release, we can safely guess that the third season should reach us somewhere in 2021.
Till then, all we can do is wait and hope that the announcement is made sooner.
