Netflix is bringing international level entertainment for its audience this year. It looks like there is no discrimination of language in entertainment. Deadwind is a Finnish crime drama web series. Jokela is the creator of the series. Deadwind is known as Karppi in Finnish. The series premiered in March 2018 on Yle TV2 in Finland. Later in August 2018, the series came out on Netflix. The series received positive remarks and became an instant hit. The second season premiered on April 5, 2020, in Finland on Yle TV2.
The fans, however, are anticipating for the third season of the show.
Plot:
Sofia Karppi is the lead of the story. Sofia works as a homicide detective for the Finnish Police force. Her husband dies in a tragic accident. Now, she is responsible for her two children. Rookie detective Sakari Nurmi joins Sofia as her partner. Sakari has no idea about the working of a homicide detective. This is because she was never a detective. They start by trying to solve the case of a missing woman. Their investigation leads them to the finding of a woman’s clothes. These clothes further lead them to the body of Anna Bergdahl.
The detectives inform her husband about the dead body. Usko Bergdahl is the husband. Later, Sofia Karppi finds that the case has an influential connection with herself. Apart from all the mystery and confusion, Sofia has to also take care of her children. Her children are falling apart, because of her lack of paying attention to them.
Deadwind Season 3:
Deadwind premiered its second season on April 5, 2020, in Finland on Yle TV2. It premiered Netflix on July 1, 2020. The second show managed to meet the benchmark of the show. The creators have announced the renewal of the show for the third time. However, the producers did not announce the release date. But, we are expecting the third season to come out in August 2021.
