A Taiwanese supernatural horror drama “Detention” (Chinese: 返校; Pinyin: Fǎn xiào) was developed in collaboration with Public Television Service for Netflix. Which is based on a video game of the same name developed by Red Candle Games.

It is expected to be released on December 5, 2020. Like the game, this series will take place in the White Terror era. The authoritarian period in Taiwan that lasted from 1947 to 1987.

And political legends about local gods, revealing a Labyrinth of unspoken oppression. The series opened at Greenwood High School in the 1990s. Transfer disciple Yunxiang Liu (Lingwei Lee) enters a restricted area on the school grounds, where he meets the spirit of Ruixin Fang (Ning Han). Fang reveals the hidden history of the school for the past 30 years. This also Includes how a group of students and teachers were victimized. While fighting for freedom during a period of censorship.
