David Javerbaum and Chuck Lorre have created a comedy series called Disjointed. Netflix had ordered twenty episodes and the series made a debut with the first ten episodes on 25th August 2017. The second season with the rest of the ten episodes was aired on 12th January 2018.
Ruth Whitefeather had advocated for a long time with respect to legalizing the usage of cannabis. And now, she has employed her son, a new graduate, and a couple of budtenders to look after Los Angeles cannabis dispensary. The episodes focus on activism, the history of marijuana, and the abundant misconceptions about stoners. The series even addresses topics like PTSD and the use of marijuana as a medicine.
The show has not done very well. It should not be a surprise that Netflix has decided not to go on with this show. “Disjoint” is canceled only after two seasons. Ruth Whitefeather has lost the chance to continue her story and fans will have to be content with only two seasons. The old tricks of the comedy shows have made this series a bit repetitive. Perhaps, the only saving grace about the show was the cast, the leading actress to be precise. Ironically, Chuck Lorrie, one of the creators of the show is famous for his other creation, The Big Bang Theory. It failed to grasp a place in the viewer’s watchlist. It only earned about 13% on Rotten Tomatoes. The said actress is the winner of an Emmy Award, and she has not received the honor once but twice!
The protagonist is played by Kathy Bates. She plays the role of Ruth Whitefeather Feldman.
Aaron Moten plays her son called Travis Feldman.
Tone Bell had the role of Carter. He was the security guard.
Elizabeth Ho and Elizabeth Alderfer have played the role of the budtenders.
