Domestic Girlfriend is a Japanese romantic anime series. Shōta Ihata is the director of the show. The anime series released on January 12, 2019, on MBS, TBS, BS-TBS, AT-X, and ATV Network. Domestic Girlfriend is the adaption of the Japanese manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Kei Sasuga. The fans loved the setting of the show. In 2016, the manga got adapted as an interactive YouTube content. In the video, the viewers can choose between two different scenarios. These lead to different settings of the story. Natsuo Fujii is the lead of the show. He is a 17-year-old student. He aspires to become a successful novelist someday. Natsuo is very creative, but he hides his skills from his classmates. He falls in love with his teacher, Hina. Natsuo soon realizes that his feelings are futile. He then meets another girl, Rui Tachibana in a mixer. She asks him to come over to her place, where he loses his virginity.

The next day, Natsuo’s father tells him that he is looking to remarry. His father invites the woman he wants to marry at his place. Natsuo finds out that Rui Tachibana is the younger sister of his teacher crush, Hina. He gets into a strange situation when he gets to know that Hina and Rui are the daughters of the woman his father is marrying. 

Season 2:

The anime show gain popularity amongst the anime enthusiasts in no time. The critics too appreciated the unique setting of the show. The first season of the show concluded on March 30, 2019. The creators of the show have not announced the renewal of the show. But looking at the volumes of the manga series, it safe to assume that season has not yet ended. If the show receives a renewal, we can expect the second season of the show to come out sometime in 2021.
