Elona Holmes is an American period-drama film released in 2020. It belongs to the mystery genre and is inspired by the first book of the series- Elona Holmes by Nancy Springer. The film stars Stranger Things fame- Millie Boby Brown as the protagonist and also serves as the producer on the film.
Based on the life of an adolescent sister of the legendary Sherlock Holmes, the film delivers great performances by Henry Cavill, Adeel Akhtar, Sam Claflin, Fiona Shaw, and many more.
Enola Holmes Season 2
The film was launched on Netflix, on September 23, 2020. It gathered plenty of praise from the critics as well from the audience. In a recent Netflix movie that also makes space for her famous pal, Sherlock Holmes, there’s nothing basic about Enola Holmes, the teenage detective seeking clues and solving crimes. Bradbeer told Decider while talking about the mother of Enola, played by Helena Bonham Carter, and her antiques in the film, “It will definitely be looked at in future movies.”
He also added that it would be wonderful to get five more movies out of this scene. He does think they’re extraordinary stories to tell, and an incredible period. When further questioned by the media, on whether he had been interacting with overlords of Netflix already, he said that the talks are in process. The game, as Holmes might claim, is very much on the go.
Since the film is based on a series of books, we can expect this franchise to expand further. But currently, it seems like there is not something specific, but this may certainly be in the works.
But when the sequel of Elona Holmes is decided, it’s dates are uncertain because the cast has other obligations from Netflix. Henry Cavill will probably involved in the third season of The Witcher. While season five of Stranger Things is not clear, it seems quite possible that Millie Bobby Brown will be busy, too. If we see Enola Holmes once again, then she could be a little older, but a lot of stories and subjects will still be discussed in the film.
