The main character follows, who knows nothing about the time to travel back. It is a mental puzzle with an imperfect protagonist who continues to try to transform his past.

In 2017 Netflix published an original live-action web-drama that adapted the manga entirely and did not diverge from its source material such as anime or film. So if Netflix supports the project, it is highly possible to streamline a sequel.

A-1 Pictures, which is known for its animation, made great work with Twists like Black Butler and Magi. Although they had a busy 2020 schedule, Erased Season 2 could be scheduled for fall 2021. Looking at the material left behind, i.e. the spin-off manga and novel, an OVA episode or a film might be enough. But if the producers and the author work in conjunction with the novel to create an original season, it can do!

What can we expect from the plotline?

Erased: Another Record should adapt to the sequel. Interestingly enough, Yashiro, the killer, is the protagonist of this novel. Two years after Yashiro was arrested, the story takes place and during his trial, his lawyer declared him not guilty. The court assigned Satoru’s childhood friend, Kenya, as a new lawyer. Yashiro fired the lawyer.

The story is written in 2 parts: one from the perspective of Kenya and the other in the form of letters from Yashiro’s point of view. The letter is sent by an unknown person named Spice and it seems like a man is writing it. We can see that Yashiro is increasingly obsessed with Satoru, the boy who continued to block him. And in the end, Satoru’s last desire was to die.
