Evangelion is a Japanese anime series. Hideaki Anno is the director of the series. The animated series formerly released in October 1995, on TV Tokyo. Evangelion gained popularity after the release. Although some controversies arose when the movie released, under the same titles, got an alternate ending. The show received many spin-offs and video game adoptions as well.
There are numerous videogames, featuring the storyline of the show. These games do not limit to RPG only, but also card games and puzzles. Two, mangas Angelic Days and Shinji Ikari Raising Project also are the adoption of the story.
About the Show:
The setting of the show is in the 2015 era. Shinji Ikari is the protagonist of the story. He gets called to the futuristic and extremely developed city of Tokyo-3. His father, Gendo Ikari, is the director of the special paramilitary force Nerv. Shinji witnesses a battle between the United Nations and an Angel. This Angel has an impenetrable force shield around it. Due to which the United Nations is not able to defeat it. The only way to stop the Angel from destroying the world is, Nerv’s neurally controlled huge Evangelions. Gendo forces Shinji to pilot one of the Evangelions to defeat the enemy.
But, Shinji has no experience in this regard. Anyhow, he manages to defeat the angel. Later, Shinji settles in the city with Misato. He tells Misato that he wants to stay a pilot. He once again joins the Nerv. Shinji and the Nerv now have to destroy the remaining 14 Angeles to save the world from annihilation.
Evangelion season 4:
The producers made no announcements on the release dates of the fourth season, as of now. However, it is sure that the fourth season will be coming out soon. To strengthen this fact, in August a short clip of the fourth season came out from the producers. This maintained the excitement level amongst the fans.
The show is currently available on Netflix, dubbed in English. The fans can watch the series in English too.
