Felipe Esparza

Felipe Esparza is a Mexican-American stand-up comedian. Felipe began his stand-up comedy career in 1994. Before becoming a comedian, Esparza served his time in a drug rehab centre. Greg Boyle guided and convinced Felipe to drop his addiction and seek the help of a rehab center. Greg is the founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles. It is one of the largest rehabilitation and re-entry programs in the world. Through Felipe’s living in Rehab, he set five life goals. One of those goals was to become a Standup comedian. He debuted his career in underground shows and performing in cafes.

Felipe has worked in various movies as well. He played the role of Pablo in the movie, El matador (2003), Fernando in The Deported (2009). Apart from films, HBO released his Comedy Special Show, ‘Translate This’. Felipe Esparza is the father of four children. He recently won  Last Comic Standing in 2010. Netflix is releasing Felipe Esparza: Bad Decision, a brand new comedy special series.

Bad Decisions:

Netflix recently signed Felipe Esparza for a comedy special show, Felipe Esparza: Bad Decisions. The comedy series filmed in Santa Ana, California. Bad Decisions will release in two languages, Spanish and English. The show will feature Felipe’s classic edgy comedy. He will be talking about the recent occurrences around the world. Esparza also relates his comic acts with his childhood incidents and mistakes he made when he was in drugs. It is for the first time that Netflix has recorded a stand-up comedy show in two languages. The reason being, Felipe’s popularity, in many Spanish speaking countries, like Mexico. Critics and fans have high hopes with Felipe Esparza’s upcoming comedy special series. Only after the release of the show, we will anticipate if the show meets the expectations of everyone.

Netflix recently ended Hasan Minhaj’s comedy special show, The Patriot recently. The fans did not respond positively to Netflix’s decision of ending the show. But, Netflix is with yet another comedy special show up its sleeves. Another beloved comedian, Felipe Esparza’s comedy special show is on the release row. Felipe Esparza: Bad Decisions is all set to release. The show will be releasing in two languages on September 1, 2020, exclusively on Netflix.
