Gosick Season 2: ‘Gosick‘ is an anime series based on a manga series, set in a fictional European country. It brings clues and parodies to the stories of famous detectives like Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple, and Inspector Morse. To put it bluntly, ‘Gosick’ is like playing the word “Gothic”, the heaven of anime for those who love Mystery Shows. The main plot of this anime is simple yet very interesting. This series is enough to get any viewer’s attention from the beginning. But unfortunately, unlike other major detective shows, the story in this series goes on and on. This creates a lot of speculation and because of this, a lot of the big points of the story seem compelling.
Gosick’s Season 2 Release Date
Season 1 of Gosick was released on January 8, 2011, and continued for 24 episodes until July 2, 2011. The first season, which was split into two separate parts, was watched by many different viewers and surprisingly gained more ratings on other popular anime platforms. So, it means that this anime deserves another season.
The end of season 1 was very clear and although many fans were dissatisfied with it. It did not end with too many conclusions that could lead us to its revival. And now that it’s been ten years since its first release, even the volume around the show is gone. While there are many anime shows that find new seasons even after a decade, ‘Gosick’ doesn’t seem to be part of the series. So as of this publication, there are no official guarantees regarding the second season, and the chances of getting one seem to be below. In the unlikely event of anime revival, our best guess is that the release date of season 2 ‘Gosick’ could be sometime in 2022 or 2023.
Plot of Gosick
Gosick’s focus is on Kazuya Kujou who is an international student at Saint Marguerite Academy, known as one of the best schools in the world and also the highest boarding school in Sauville in Southern Europe. Hailing from Japan, she has jet-colored hair and reddish-brown eyes that make many of her peers ridicule her as a “Black Harvester”. He feels marginalized at his school because of the nickname as, according to ancient tradition, “Black Reaper” is a traveler who brings death in the spring.
One day, on his way to the school library reading ghost stories, he is interrupted by a strand of white hair on the stairs. He soon discovered that he had the power to foresee the future and had predicted that their paths would one day collide.
