Bryan Fuller developed the now-famous horror-thriller series called Hannibal. The main character is based on the character of the novels by Thomas Harris. Originally, Hannibal is the serial killer of Red Dragon, Hannibal and Hannibal Rising. The first season of this psychological thriller for thirteen episodes and it was aired on NBC (April 4th, 2013). We have 3 seasons of the critically acclaimed series till now. The unique series presented the gore required for horror with a baffling presentation of madness. Even if someone is queasy, the compelling characters of the well-written show lure them in. The Buffalo News has praised the series by calling it “brilliant” as well as “deeply sinister”. As expected, this show has left viewers with unsated appetites.
What is the show about?
“Hannibal” features an FBI profiler called Will Graham. Jack Crawford recruits him for investigating a killer in Minnesota. Due to the circumstances of the investigation, Crawford decides to have Will supervised by Dr. Hannibal Lector. The viewers get to know that the doctor happens to be a cannibalistic killer. Lector finds himself fascinated by Graham’s empathy for murderers and goes on to form a bond with him.
The show has finished with the third season in August 2015. Ever since then the most burning question is about season 4. Bryan Fuller as well as MadsMikkelsen truly wants the series to continue. But viewers have been waiting for five years, and it hasn’t been easy!
NBC has already canceled the show years back. But as Fuller pointed out in an interview with Vulture, that doesn’t prevent them from choosing another platform. Later on, Netflix would have all the three seasons for Hannibal for viewers to stream. So there is still hope for a fourth season.
Season 4 will most probably continue to focus on the bond between Will Graham and Dr. Lector. It is not clear what could exactly happen, especially when the series finale showed Will and Hannibal falling off a cliff together.
