It is written by Kwon Hye-Joo and directed by Yoo Je-won. Hi Bye, Mama is produced by Studio Dragon.
The season ran for 16 episodes. It was showcased on tvN from February to April 2019.
However, Hi Bye, Mama was released on February 23, 2020, on Netflix.

Hi Bye, Mama features the beloved Korean actor, Kim Tae Hee, as Cha Yu-ri. Cha Yu-ri is the lead of Hi Bye, Mama.
The story revolves around Cha Yu-ri. Cha Yu-ri is a ghost after she has been dead for five years. But the ghost of Cha Yu-ri is reluctant to go to her afterlife. She wants to stick to her husband and her family because she loves them all too much.
But, to be the part of human life again, she has to undergo, Human incarnation process for 49 days.
The story takes a sharp turn when she finds out that her husband has remarried after Cha Yu-ri dies. She now has 49 days to regain her place in the family who has moved on her. If she fails to regain her place, then she would have to leave the idea of being with her family and pass herself to the afterlife.
There is a catch in the story too, that Cha Yu-ri’s daughter can see and talk to ghosts and spirits.

Hi, Bye Mama received huge appreciation in Korea as well as from the Korean drama lovers. Considering this huge appreciation and commercial success, there is a chance of the second season.
However, the producers and officials have already declared this series as the “One Season” series. That means there won’t be a second season.
