Hyundai Santa Fe

The mid-size SUV not only benefits from a new look and features.

In addition, has more powerful and efficient engines than before.

  • The Hyundai Santa Fe receives 2021 updates on the design and powertrain.
  • The new base engine and the optional turbo 4 are stronger than before and a hybrid is added to the line-up.
  • The conventional Santa Fe gas models will be sold by the end of the year and hybrids will be sold by the beginning of next year.

Earlier this year, Hyundai showed off the new face of the 2021 Santa Fe, but the updates go deeper below. Two new gasoline engines, new features, and a hybrid version are also available for the SUV mid-size. At the beginning of this year, the gas versions will arrive, while at the start of 2021. The hybrid will be followed finally by a hybrid plug-in Santa Fe.

The new engine!

The new basic engine is an inline engine of 2.5 liters with an outflow of 191 hours and 181 lb-ft torque, Meanwhile, improving the current 2.4-liter engine by 6 hp and 3 lb-ft. It is equipped with an eight-speed automatic drive with an optional front-wheel drive. Hyundai says that the new motor will supply 1 mpg bump with a total of up to 26 mpg.

Specifically, 42-hp and 51 lb-ft. The new turbo engine is an even more significant improvement. This engine also offers a fuel economy growth despite an extra grunt. In addition, the combined fuel consumption of up to 25 mpg. The drive is an 8-speed, dual-clutch automatic, and the 2.5T.  It also features a standard front-wheel drive and an all-wheel-drive option.

The new hybrid Santa Fe combines a 178-hp 1,6-liter inline-four with an automated six-speed engine with a 59-hp powertrain. The overall output is 225 hp and the gas engine options are bisected. Hyundai has not yet spoken about the performance numbers, but we expect their combined EPA in the mid30 mpg range to fall anywhere. A hybrid plug is a little further down the road and needs a bigger battery pack to allow for a certain quantity of all-electric power.

The Design!

A new calligraphy trim level stands at the top of the lineup, a name shared with the top model of the three rows Palisade. The turbo engine and all-wheel drive are standard and feature special leather polishing, 20-inch wheels, a different grille, and a few additional trim distinctions.

All 2021 Santa Fe models have a revamped appearance with the re-shaped grill and distinct headlamps. The wheel designs are also new on the whole and Hyundai says the internal components have been enhanced. A floating construct, a push-button shifter, standard optional touch-screens are extended, ranging from 7.0 to 8.0 cm and from 8.0 to 10.3 cm. An additional 0.5 cubic foot of cargo space is available.
