Premise
A toymaker along with his granddaughter establishes a magical creation. Which if they can get it to labor in time for the holidays, could alter their lives permanently.
Small Synopsis of the film
In the town of Cobbleton, the film is set and follows legendary toymaker Jeronicus Jangle (Forrest Whitaker), whose frivolous inventions burst with whimsy and surprise. However, when his trusted student named Keegan-Michael Key steals his most adored creation, it’s up to his equally bright and imaginative granddaughter (Madalen Mills) and a long-forgotten invention to heal old wounds.

Production of the Film
Netflix bought a pitch from David E. Talbert entitled Jingle Jangle on December 7, 2017, with Talbert signed on to write and direct the Christmas musical. It was announced On September 17, 2018, that John Legend and Mike Jackson signed on as producers along with David E. Talbert, and Lyn Sisson-Talbert for Brillstein Entertainment Partners. While Ty Stiklorius will executive produce. Forest Whitaker joined the cast of the film in October 2018 while in April 2019, Keegan Michael Key, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, and Madalen Mills joined the cast. In July 2019, Hugh Boneville joined the cast. In October 2020, Ricky Martin joined the cast.
In June 2019, Principal photography began in Norwich.
