Kia will enter the Indian market with a newly developed compact SUV as its first product. However, the leading international model is the sports sedan – Stinger. While there are no plans to launch the car in India soon, Kia presented it at the Delhi Motor Show in 2018. As well as at the opening of its first Indian dealer in February 2019.
Engines Of Kia Stinger
Stinger is available worldwide with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. The standard petrol engine is a 2.0-liter engine with 247 hp and 353 Nm. Alternatively, it has a 2.2-liter diesel engine designed for 200 hp. The efficiency-oriented GT variant now has an under-the-hood 3.3-liter twin-turbo petrol engine that produces 370 hp and 510 Nm of power.
Transmissions
All petrol and diesel engine options are combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission with the gear lever. While the model is standard RWD, there is also an AWD option.
New Features in Kia Stinger
With the Stinger GT, which Kia used as a demonstration model, we only looked at a few functions. This includes a luxurious Nappa leather interior on the seats, a stand-alone 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a 7-inch TFT display on the instrument cluster.

Kia developed the Stinger to compete in style and performance with a similar BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, and Mercedes C-Class. But it can also keep up with the Volvo S60 and Lexus ES300.

The Kia Stinger will be a big competitor to the premium German sedan in the price segment. Because it has a powerful engine and the features that the car offers are pretty decent. Most important is reliability and much more reliable than German sedans because KIA is the sister of Hyundai and Hyundai cars are very good in terms of reliability and build quality, as well as the materials used in the car. I think people in India will love this car.
