Letterkenny is a Canadian sitcom series. Jared Keeso and Jacob Tierney are the developers of the show. Earlier, the show released on YouTube as Letterkenny Problems. It received huge viewership after will the creators chose to release it as a TV production. The show released in February 2016 on The Comedy Network. The show was a complete hit on its release. It is also the recipient of Best Comedy Series at the 5th Canadian Screen Awards in 2017. Later in 2019, Bell Media decided to release an animated spin-off of the series.
The Plot of Letterkenny
The story revolves around a small Canadian town of Letterkenny. Featuring the lives of the people living in the community. The show features Wayne and Katy. They own a small farm. Reilly and Jonesy are also the protagonists of the story. They both are professional ice-hockey players. Reilly and Jonesy are two best friends but they are in an indefinite relationship with Katy. The episodes feature many unique characters in the town. Each of these characters has unique traits and problems they are facing.
However, the show mainly revolves around the struggles of Wayne and Katy. Wayne works hard to manage his reputation as the ‘toughest guy of the town’. He also plans the breakup of Katy from the men he does not like. The show is full of sarcasm and puns, featuring worldly matters.
Season 9 Updates
The Corona Virus outbreak has effected almost every production. The season 9 was supposed to come out immediately after the release of the season 8. But due to the epidemic, the production got effected in a big way. It is for sure that season 9 will release. But, when? Well nobody knows. It might release sometime in 2021.
