The show revolves around the Locke family who decides to move from Seattle to Massachusetts to start a new life after tragedy (the Randall Locke murder). The Locke three children move into the Rendell home, Keyhouse, with their mother. The children soon discover many mysterious keys in the house that they can use to open various magical doors. They soon realized that the forces of evil wanted access to the keys for their own evil purposes.

Filming for the season will begin on August 17, 2020, and end on February 15, 2021. However, due to the disruption of COVID-19, the manufacturer can start shooting on September 21, 2020. Currently, production is continuing and is expected to end on March 5, 2021, if all goes. as planned.
