No Game, No Life

No Game No Life is yet another adaption of a Japanese light novel series by the same name. The series released its first episode on April 9, 2014, on AT-X. The final episode the first season of No Game No Life was released on June 25, 2014.

The series is directed by Atsuko Ishizuka and animated by Madhouse. It was streamed via various streaming services across the globe. The first season had 12 episodes. The season and the novel, both were such a hit that a movie, No Game No Life: Zero, was premiered on 15th July 2017.

No game No life is an adaption of surreal comedy light novel by the same name, No game No life.
The story revolves around Sora and Shiro. They both are online gamers. They are quite legendary and go by the name of “Blank”.

These two shut-in NEET siblings look at the world as some kind of videogame.

They receive a mail that changes their entire life. They get invited to participate in a chess match. They are sent to another realm where the match will take place. There they meet the God of the games, Tet.

They are introduced to a world where all the conflicts are resolved through highly waged games. No matter how big or small the conflict be, it will be resolved through gaming only. But the catch is that to play, the opponents will have to wager something equal to the value of the opponent’s wager.

The gaming geniuses Sora and Shiro finally get the reason to keep on playing games. Now they have to unite all the sixteen races of Disboard. They must also defeat, Tet to become the new Gods of the Games.

Season 2 updates:

The creators of No Game No Life had confirmed the season 2 earlier. But, due to COVID 19 Pandemic, there has been no confirmation on the release dates. The initial release was expected to release at the end of 2020. But the current situation has delayed everything. So, we can safely expect the second season to release in 2021.
