The love comedy “Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai” (“The romantic girlfriend whose childhood boyfriend has nothing to lose”), abbreviated as OsaMake (お) さ ま け け) is a Japanese romantic series based on the romantic comedy Shuichi Nimaru was written and illustrated by Wi. Shigure. ASCII Media Works has published five volumes under pressure from Dengeki Bunko since June 2019. An art adaptation of the manga by Ryō Itō has been serialized in the manga magazine Media Factory Monthly Comic Alive since November 2019. It is collected in tankōbon. The adaptation of the Doga Kobo anime TV series is scheduled to air in April 2021.

Sueharu Maru is a seventeen-year-old high school student who has never had a boyfriend. She lives next to her childhood friend, Kuroha Shida, a cute little Onee-san girl with an open-minded character. One day Kuroha confessed to Sueharu, but she refused; Sueharu only pays attention to her first love, Shirokusa Kachi, who is a beautiful idol and award-winning school writer. Shirokusa didn’t care for all the boys in the school, but for Sueharu, which made Sueharu believe that she might have a chance. When Sueharu decides to admit her feelings, she is overwhelmed when she finds out that Shirokusa already has a boyfriend. Kuroha approaches Sueharu and offers to avenge Shirokusa and his friend.
An adaptation of the anime television series was announced on October 3, 2020. The series is animated by Doga Kobo and staged by Takashi Naoya with compositions from the Yoriko Tomita series. Naoya is also designing the characters. In April 2021, the premiere will take place.
Light novels take on 2020 in Takarajimasha’s annual guide to Kono ga Sugoi light novels! Light takes fifth place in the Bunkobon category. As of October 2020, more than 500,000 copies have been sold.
