The Renault Kiger is nearing its final testing phase. This compact SUV under 4 meters is testing production specs on its Avatar. Despite being seen in thick camouflage, it was unable to hide the lines and curves.
That’s why our in-house rendering specialist Shoeb R. Kalania assembled his arsenal, gathered his thoughts, and created lifelike Renault Kiger renderings. From these renderings, it appears that the Renault Kiger follows the same design language as the reconstructed Renault Kwid. However, Kiger brings an added sense of prestige. HBC was spied on for tests before being presented at Auto Expo 2020. The Renault SUV (code name HBC) will arrive under 4 meters in the second half of 2020.
Anticipated Engines & Transmissions
It is expected to be available with a turbo version of the Triber’s 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine. HBC is also expected to come with automatic transmission options, as is the case with Kwid and Duster. HBC is not available with diesel engines.
Anticipated Features Of Renault’s Kiger
HBC is expected to be available with Renault automotive technology. And an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, same as Triber. The interior is expected to be similar to the Triber cabin. Renault Kiger (HBC) offers 1 petrol engine. The petrol engine is 999 cc. Available with manual transmission.
Expected Price of Renault’s Kiger
We expect Renault to estimate the upcoming sub-4m SUV in under in the 7-10 lakh rupee range.
Expected Future Rivals
If the SUV space is less than 4 meters deep, it will be similar to Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, and Mahindra XUV300.
Launch Date
This new small SUV, codenamed Renault HBC, was originally scheduled to hit the market a few months ago, but the COVID-19 outbreak delayed those plans and pushed the SUV’s launch into the Christmas season. According to media reports, the small SUV Renault will be launched next year. This decision was taken because the supply chain was disrupted which forced the car manufacturer to calibrate its plans.
