Takaya Kagami is no stranger to writing manga. He has written amazing novels like The Legend of the Legendary Heroes and A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives. He has also created a dark fantasy manga called Seraph of the End. Yamato Yamamoto has illustrated it. The manga, also known as Owari no Serafu, is based on the storyboards created by Daisuke Furuya.
As with most mangas, there is an anime series based on it. Wit Studio adapted Seraph of the End and it was released in 2015. Daisuke Tokudo is the director of the series. And Hiroshi Seko has written it.
What is the plot?
The show is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the world has come to an end because of a man-made virus. The kids under thirteen years of age are spared but, aside from that no one escapes the deathly consequences. Meanwhile, vampires have reemerged to prove that they are not just a part of myths.
The show focuses on Yūchirō and Mikaela, two orphans who seek to destroy vampires and have revenge. They escape from the Hyakuyu Orphanage but nothing goes according to plan. The story gets more complicated with the involvement of Moon Demon Company as Yūchirō continues his battle.
When will season 3 be released?
There is no official announcement of the release date yet. There’s not even assurance that the show will be renewed for the third season. But the various number of news sites have given hope that the wait for the new season won’t be too long.
Interestingly, the first and the second season of Seraph of The End has used up all the manga material by Kagami. Season 3 plotlines will have to be build up from the scratch. But now, Kagami has presented fans with 40 more new chapters, so there is no dearth of new material. Fans can reasonably anticipate the renewal of the show. Maybe the announcement will take place this year or the next.
