Netflix is full of un-conventional series with a lot of topics, we generally avoid. One such series, which has been superhit amongst its audience is “Sex Education”. It is a British Comedy-Drama web series. Laurie Nunn is the creator of the series, “Sex Education.”
The series was premiered on 11th January 2019 exclusively on Netflix. It is one of the most commercially successful series for Netflix. It had over 40 million viewers, just for the first season. After looking at this huge success, Netflix aired the second season on 17 January 2020, and of course, the show has been renewed for the third series.
The Plot of Sex Education
The story is about Otis Milburn. Otis Milburn is an insecure teenager. His mother, Dr. Jean F Milburn, is a renowned sex therapist. Yet, Otis has mixed and contradicting ideas when it comes to sex. After giving a school bully sex performance advice, and seeing it work, Otis decides to set up a Sex Advice business with his friend Maeve.
Moordale Secondary comes under the grip of a sexually transmitted disease, “Chlamydia”. This puts the sex-advice business of Otis under doubt. The Highschool is then introduced with new students who will challenge the status quo of Otis. On the other hand, Otis starts a relationship with Ola. Due to which relationship between Otis and Maeve comes under the strain.
Season 3 of Sex Education
Due to COVID 19 pandemic, the production of season 3 has been postponed to August 2020. Earlier, the production was to start in May 2020. Netflix has not made any official announcement on the release date of the third season, but we can expect it to release sometimes in 2021.
