Almost a year back, the co-creator of the beloved adult animated comedy series, Rick and Morty teamed up with HULU to produce yet another series of animated humor.
HULU released ‘Solar Opposites” on May 8, 2020. This animated comedy sitcom is created by Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan, who are also the creators of Rick and Morty. Which is the reason that Solar Opposites is also created on the same template as that of Rick and Morty?
Where Rick and Morty is an adult comedy animated sitcom, which you cannot prefer to watch with family, Solar Opposites is a clean comedy for everyone. Yet it is humourous. Solar Opposite has a whopping rating of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes. The series was number 1 most-watched show since its release, according to HULU.
Solar Opposites, Season 2 Plot:
The story of Solar Opposites is set around a family of aliens. These aliens are the refugees from another planet who was destroyed by an asteroid. The family, of course, is dysfunctional.
The alien couple is Korvo and Terry. Korvo is a scientist who despises the earth and Terry is a laidback assistant.
Terry has to look after the Pupa, who when fully grown, will terraform the earth. This Pupa though is the only source to transform the earth into their favorable conditions, the Pupa isn’t shown as a dominant character in the show. Pupa moreover is like a toddler who has no concern about the family and goes out on its adventures.
They also have to look after two alien childlike replicants, Jesse and her brother Yumyulack.
Unlike in Rick and Morty where they both go on numerous space adventures, the Solar opposites are quite subtle. In this, the aliens use technology to accomplish their personal goals, this turns out into humor.
Solar Opposites, Season 2?
According to the executive producer of the show, much of season two has been already written.
There has been no official announcement from HULU but after the statement of the executive producers, it is clear that season 2 is on its way to be delivered. But, when? nobody knows. Maybe, somewhere in 2021.
