Tall Girl 2

Netflix Teen Girl is back for a sequel, according to two sources suggesting filming begins next month and ends this summer. This is what we know.

In short, the first Tall Girl film was a huge hit for Netflix due to its small budget, and received 41 million views on the platform in its first four weeks.
Movie stars Ava Michelle, Griffin Gluck, Sabrina Carpenter and Paris Berelk are standard rom-coms, with the main character Jody being extremely tall and very confident.
The tall girl was not the target of criticism at all. The film is currently on IMDb at 5.2, with an equally low critical score of 44%.
Back in October 2019, after the original film was released, Ava Michel spoke with Elite Daily and said there were negotiations for a sequel. He teased that he hoped fans would see Michelle enter her senior year, saying:
Since then everything has calmed down and of course there has been a global pandemic which might stop any developments.
That happened in December 2020 when Discussing Film got a lie that Netflix was developing a sequel. They revealed that Sam Wolfson will return to write the sequel and today’s news supports it.
Filming, as confirmed by Production Weekly 1236, shows that filming currently begins in mid-April 2021 and will end at the end of May 2021. This means that the 2021 version is available for press. However, the more likely scenario is that the film will be released sometime in 2022.
