The Great is an American satirical comedy miniseries. The series premiered on Hulu on May 15, 2020. The pilot series contains 10 episodes. The series revolves around the rise of Russian Empress, Catherine the Great. Tony McNamara is the creator of the mini-series.

The series is a comedy and humorous adaption of the life of Catherine the Great. She was the longest-reigning queen of Russia.
The mini-series received positive reviews on its release.

The Great revolves around the story of Catherine the Great. The show is the hilarious journey of Catherine from being an outsider to becoming the longest-ruling female ruler of Russia.
Catherine arrives is a romantic young girl. She comes to Russia to get married to mercurial Emperor Peter.
Catherine discovers a grave danger hovering over the Russian kingdom. She also finds that the situation is dangerous and backward.
She plans to resolve the issue. But, to accomplish her motive, she has to kill her husband to rule the land.
In the end, Catherine plans to kill her husband on her birthday. Peter has no idea about his wife’s plan of murdering him. He, deep in love gives her a surprise visit.
This starts melting Catherine’s heart and she starts feeling drawn towards Peter.
Catherine has a lover, Leo. Peter captures Leo. He asks Catherine to draw away her men from killing him and he will release Leo.
The character of Catherine develops from being a bubbly, optimistic girl, to a cruel, usurper.
The series is full of satire and goofy comedy which will keep you entertained till the end of the season.

The comedy adaption of the 18th century hasn’t received any official renewal as of now.
The season has recently commenced, so we can not expect the second season to be anywhere around this year.
The second season can arrive sometime in 2021.
