“The Masked Singer” was renewed for Fox season five, a broadcaster said on Wednesday. Season 5 will air on Fox in 2021, with news ahead of the semi-final two-hour episode of Season 4, which airs on Fox on ET / PT tonight at 8 p.m.
“We’re thrilled to announce the new season of The Masked Singer,” said Rob Wade, president of Alternative and Specialty Entertainment at Fox Entertainment. “This exhibit provokes joy to many households across the country, particularly during this hard time.

We can’t wait to see more celebrities in fun outfits for an hour every week. “
A series of singing contests in which celebrities don sophisticated costumes and show off their vocal skills have become very popular with Fox. According to the network, the fourth season of the series so far has amassed an average of 11.5 million viewers per episode, which are watched on various platforms.
Fox capitalized on the success of the show with its sister series I See Your Voice, which debuted online in September. Another show, Masked Dancer, kicks off at Fox on December 27th.

This year, the series was nominated for two Emmy Awards and received one for Outstanding Outfit in a variety of documentaries or reality shows.

Produced by Endemol Shine North America, the series was developed for the United States. And was executive produced by Craig Plestis and James Breen of Smart Dog Media. Canon acts as a collaborator. The Masked Singer is based on the Korean format Mun Hwa Broadcasting Corp.

Production

The third season includes 18 new outfits. Toybina not only created more mobility in her costumes. But also emphasized the season’s style, which was “more modern and fashionable” compared to the superheroes and experimental nuances of the first and second seasons. The fan-favorite Season 1 Monsters costume has been redesigned into Miss Monster to create a “fun and friendly” outfit for kids, and the White Tiger looks like the Egyptian warrior “God of All”.
