The Rain is a Danish drama sci-fi web-series. Jannik Tai Mosholt, Esben Toft Jacobsen, and Christian Potalivo are the creators of the web series. The show premiered on Netflix on May 4, 2018. The Rain received positive remarks from the critics and the audience alike. Netflix renewed the series for the second season on May 30, 2018, and it released on May 17, 2019. The third season is confirmed and is on the way to hit the screens.
The Rain Season 3 Plot
The Rain is a post-apocalyptic drama and action web series. It is Netflix’s first-ever Danish original web series. The show contains a lot of action and violent death scenes. Scandinavia gets infected by a virus carried by the rain. The virus is so deadly that it immediately infects on the contact with the skin. The infection follows by violent death. The virus killed almost everyone in Scandinavia. However, Danish siblings survive by hiding under a bunker. The come out of the bunker after 6 years, after their father leaves them there. Their father was a scientist working on the virus, who either goes missing or dies in 6 years.
The siblings come out in search of a haven. On their quest, they meet a few other survivors looking for other survivors. Together they travel across Denmark and Sweden, not only to search for a safe place to live. But, also to search for the father of the siblings who went missing. Their father was a scientist, so their search is to gather some information about the virus. In the later run, they manage to find their father, who in turn tries to kill them. The series is full of twists and turns. The characters have to carefully choose whom they can trust.
The Rain Season 3
Netflix announced the third installment of the Rain on May 17, 2019. The show will be back on Netflix on 6th August 2020.
The third installment is expecting the return of all the main casts including the siblings.
