The Resident is an American medical drama television series. Amy Holden Jones, Hayley Schore, and Roshan Sethi are the creators of the show. The series premiered on January 21, 2018, on the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series is the adaptation of the book Unaccountable by Marty Makary. The Resident received critical acclaims from the critics. The audience too loved the setting of the show. It scored 7.6/10 on IMDb. 

Looking at the success of the show, the creators renewed the show for two more seasons. The third season of the series, The Resident, released on September 24, 2019. Season three concluded on April 7, 2020. The third season of the series contains 20 chapters. The series is also the recipient of the nomination of various prestigious awards. Premises:

Conrad Hawkins is the protagonist of the show. He is a senior resident in Internal Medicine at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. Later he becomes the ‘Chief Resident’. As the show progresses, he becomes a part of the team doctor for the Georgia Revolution FC. Nic Nevin is the resident nurse practitioner at the same hospital.  The show revolves around a young and enthusiastic doctor. He starts his first day under the supervision of a strict Senior Resident. This senior resident introduces him to the reality of the present medical scenarios. The series features the daily crisis faced by the medical team at the Chastain Park Memorial Hospital.

Season 4:

The show, ‘The Resident’ introduces the audience with the modern problems faced by the hospitals. The series became popular amongst the audience in no time. The creators of the show renewed the series for the fourth season. But, it took a major hit from the COVID pandemic. There is no particular date of the release of the fourth season.
