Kristen Smith wrote a novel called “Trinkets” in 2013. She is no stranger to screenwriting or creating novels, her most famous works include Legally Blonde and Ella Enchanted. The books were adapted into a TV series and were named the same as the book. The series had favorable reviews. Like most of Kristin’s work, Trinkets also focuses on girl power and stories about amazing and complex female characters. Netflix has had a lot of success with the show and now, fans want another season.
What is the story about?
Where you meet your friends tells a lot about them. Moe, Elodie, and Tabitha meet in a shoplifters anonymous meeting. Even if their friendship deepens through these meetings, they keep it a secret at school. Each girl has vastly different personalities from each other, but their common shoplifting habit is enough for them to bond together. The audience gets to see the dynamic between them and their struggle to navigate everything in their lives. This unlikely friendship will be something you want to watch.
While Elodie is an introvert, Tabitha is from a wealthy family and Moe is more of a punk rock girl, and their bond is something to be desired. The first season left a lot of cliffhangers for the viewers. Season 2 will have to deal with all of that. Fans have a lot of questions that need to be answered.
Will Season 2 happen?
There is good news indeed. The show has been renewed for a second season. But there’s a bit of bad news too. This season might be the last one for the series. When the first season aired back in last year, Netflix announced the renewal after one month. Even if there is no official release date yet, the next season will probably drop around the end of 2020. There is a teaser made available by Netflix, where it is implied that the second season might also be the last. Go and have a look! Season 2 might be filled with more intensity than the previous season.
Who will be in the cast?
The next season will welcome back the actors for the major characters in the series in season 1.
• Brianna Hildebrand as Elodie Davis
• QuintessaSwindell as Tabitha Foster
• Brandon Butler as Brady Finch
• Kiana Madeira as Moe Truax.
