Sword Art Online Season 3
The anime series Sword Art Online was titled ‘ Sword Art Online: Alicization’ for its third season. From the light novel series, this show had been adapted with the same title written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by ABEC. The series is directed by Manabu Ono and was animated by A-1 Pictures.
The first part of the anime series ‘Sword Art Online’ had been taken from the novel’s ninth volume ‘Alicization Beginning’ to the Fourteenth volume ‘Alicization Uniting’ and all wrapped in Alicization arc. While the second part of the anime series which was titled ‘ Sword Art Online: Alicization- War of Underworld’ adapts from novels fifteenth volume ‘Alicization invading’ to the Eighteenth volume ‘Alicization Lasting’.
Alicization takes place after “Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale”, was the part which is not covered in the light novels as it incorporates elements from the film which is not in the novel. The country of origin of the series in Japan and had a total of 47 episodes in the third season.
Released Date of Season 3:
The series released its first part on October 6, 2018, and aired until March 18, 2019, while the second part of the series was released on October 12, 2019, and aired until December 28, 2019.
Themes in the series:
The series had its first opening theme as “Adamas” while the first ending theme as “Iris”. Whereas, the second opening theme is “Resister” and the second ending theme is “Forget-me-not”.
What is the plotline of season 3?
The third season of the series opens with Kirito already inside the underworld. Eugeo and Alice the new Friends of Kirito together with him embark on a quest but the audience won’t find out the meaning behind the underworld until later. Kirito was hired as a Beta Tester in the real world on fourth-generation full dive technology with a company called Raft.
The whole show is amazingly detailed for a real eye for color and smooth animation. Sword Art Online series with all the seasons are linked together in a nice touch and the characterization and new virtual world are commonly fascinating and well constructed.
