On June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa, he was born to May Musk and Erol Musk. Elon Musk’s mother, May Musk, is a Canadian-South African model and nutritionist, while her father, Erol Musk, is an African electromechanical engineer, pilot and sailor. In 1980, Elon Musk’s parents separated and Elon Musk chose to live with his father in the suburbs of Pretoria. However, Musk regretted his choice and called his father a terrible person.
