The Haunting Season 3: Netflix Original ‘The Haunting’ is a horror series written and created by Mike Flanagan. The series became one of the most popular supernatural series in the year of its release. The show of this series ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ and ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor’ both were spine-chilling shows that were enjoyed each and every moment by every horror fan. The first Netflix Original horror show of this series was released on October 12, 2018. And the second was released on October 9, 2020, exactly 2 years later.
The plot of This Series
The story of The Haunting of Hill House was based on a 1959’s novel that revolves around two parallel timelines of past and present where paranormal experiences haunt individual persons at hill house. The novel writer was Shirley Jackson.
The second series, ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor’ based on The Turn of The Screw which was written by Henry James. The plot goes around some events which follow the tragic death of an au pair after hiring a new American nanny to look after an orphan boy and girl.
There is no confirmation about the third installment, what will happen in season 3. But we can expect that a classic horror story will be adapted by the makers to be fit in the popular anthology horror series.
When will the next season release?
While it looks like there’s a chance The Hunting Season 3 might finally happen, the chances of it coming out this year are pretty non-existent at this point.
Renewals may be confirmed in the coming months, but production of the third season may not begin until late 2021 or even later. Flanagan and his team recently wrapped production on Midnight Mass, a new Netflix horror series based on supernatural horror. And another is under construction that has been confirmed as an adaptation of Christopher Pike’s horror novel The Midnight Club. It will be released on Netflix in 2021.
