What is Joe up to this time after the season 2 finale twist?
Below are your spoilers!
The creators of You have confirmed Season 3, which is no surprise considering how popular the show is. The thriller, which began on Lifetime before Netflix snapped it up in season two, wrapped up with Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) briefly after the last season-one story arc in season two. Quick recap: the show intentionally misled viewers into assuming that Joe had killed his ex-girlfriend Candace Stone (Ambyr Childers)-a completely fair assumption that we could add, given his behavior-only to flip that on his head when she turned up in the final scene to confront him.
Your’s protagonist had not only fled from Candace in the second chapter, presenting himself as Will Bettelheim (much to the misfortune of the true Will). Joe / Will was apparently on a mission to try and prove that he could redeem himself, in addition to getting himself a new job at another book store. This had a lot to do with the fact that he had set his sights on Victoria Pedretti’s new love interest, Love Quinn (The Haunting of Hill House). But Love turned out to be no better than Joe in a horrifying twist, assassinating Candace and Delilah (Carmela Zumbado) to save her connexion with the series’s lead.
So, from season three, what can we expect? Here’s all you have to know.
The release date for Season 3!
No official date of coming back has been revealed yet, but Netflix said season 3 is due to arrive somewhere in 2021, with filming beginning in February. You know, nevertheless, what is wrecking havoc for TV and movie productions all across the board, so if things don’t improve, we could be looking at the very end of the year, and even beyond that.
But what is certainly taking place is the launch of ‘You Love Me’, the third book in the series that will hit stores on April 6, 2021.
